Varsity Basketball 2016-2017
The goal of the Westover Basketball program is to be among the top competitors in the leagues in which we play and to make a show in the New England tournament. As a team, the Wildcats focus on the fundamentals of basketball, employ aggressive defense and expect a high level of commitment and discipline to achieve its goals. Competing in the NEPSAC and CISAC leagues, Westover has been a top competitor and will look to continue improve upon their record in the 2016-17 season.
The Wildcats Head Coach, Marty Pelosi, and assistant coaches Cathie Hillian '99 and Kim Allen opened with the Tip-Off tournament on Friday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd.
The Swim Team has made a big splash in the eight-year-old program's record books this season; seven of its 11 school records have been shattered.
Six Westover Wildcats representing all four varsity teams from the fall season have been honored as all-stars.
History was made Friday evening at the Fuller Athletic Center. Westover junior Gabbie Dunn became the first student-athlete in Westover history to reach 1,000 career points.
