Varsity Volleyball 2016
The Westover Volleyball program welcomes students new to the sport onto our junior varsity and thirds teams and provides increasing challenges for our veteran athletes at the varsity level. The girls work to perfect their passing, setting, blocking, hitting, and serving skills during weekday practices. Our girls are often described as focused, determined, and dedicated to their teams. The players consistently exemplify good sportsmanship, excellent work ethic, and commitment to their team and themselves. The 2016 team is coached by Kendra Galusha in her second season with the Wildcats. The 2016 roster consists of ten players, of which includes five seniors.
The Swim Team has made a big splash in the eight-year-old program's record books this season; seven of its 11 school records have been shattered.
Six Westover Wildcats representing all four varsity teams from the fall season have been honored as all-stars.
History was made Friday evening at the Fuller Athletic Center. Westover junior Gabbie Dunn became the first student-athlete in Westover history to reach 1,000 career points.
