Mary Robbins Hillard set her sights in 1909 on opening a school of her own that was 'west' and 'over' the hills from the school she served as Assistant Head in Waterbury, Connecticut.  Together with architect Theodate Pope Riddle, Miss Hillard opened Westover School nearly 100 years ago. Rich in history and tradition, Westover continues to inspire all those who walk through her doors.
