2008 Westover Magazine

Distributed in May 2008. The Spring 2008
Westover Magazine includes a section devoted to Westover’s Legacy of Art History, featuring profiles of three of the School’s Art History teachers – Joachim Schumacher, Sonja Osborn, and Ali Perdue — along with more than a dozen profiles of alumnae who have pursued careers or volunteer activities in the field. (To read additional profiles about alumnae in the field of Art History, click
here.) Other features of the 2008 Magazine include articles about two alumnae authors and an alumna book illustrator, an update on the opening of Westover’s sister school in Rwanda, and previews of the School’s upcoming Centennial celebrations. As always, the Magazine also features more than 40 pages of Class Notes, with news about hundreds of alumnae, as well as news from past faculty and staff members.
2007 Annual Report

Distributed in October 2007. In addition to including a list of gifts to Westover?s Endowment and Annual Fund during the 2006-2007 fiscal year, the Annual Report also featured articles about estate planning, the renovation of Red Hall, and the installation of "Smart Boards" in Westover?s classrooms, as well as reports on plans for the School?s upcoming Centennial celebrations and other news updates about Westover today.
2007 Summer Westover Newsletter

Distributed in July 2007. This issue of the newsletter includes an
extensive look at Westover's Community Service program, as well as
highlights of the Class of 2007 graduation ceremonies, a round-up of
the spring sports season, and an account of two young Westover women's
adventure hiking the Long Trail in Vermont.
2007 Westover Magazine

Distributed in May 2007. This issue of the Westover Magazine offers a special section featuring a series of articles about Westover's connections around the world: the School's connection to a new girls middle school being built in Rwanda, as well as profiles of alumnae whose work, studies, and volunteer efforts have taken them around the world. Class Notes from more than 65 classes are also included.
2007 Spring Westover Newsletter

Distributed in March 2007, this publication sent to parents and
grandparents of current students included articles about the Varsity
Squash team’s winning of the New England B Division Championship;
student exchange programs in the planning stages with schools in Spain,
France, and Italy; and a list of upcoming concert and dance in
Westover’s Performing Arts Center’s Theater.
2007 Winter Hillard Herald (February)

Distributed in February 2007. This issue includes an article about Head
of School Ann Pollina’s appointment as a Vice President of the Board of
Directors of the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools, a page of
photographs from the January 2007 Dorcas Fair, profiles of the most
recently elected Alumnae Association Governors, and photographs from
recent gatherings of alumnae and Westover friends.
Winter 2006 (December) Westover Newsletter

Distributed in December 2006, this issue of the Newsletter features a
letter from Head of School Ann Pollina in which she discusses the
School?s re-accreditation process, as well as articles featuring the
summer experiences of both faculty and students. Other articles
summarize performing arts activities from Fall 2006 and the Fall 2006
sports season.
2006 Annual Report

Distributed in October 2006. This year's Annual Report celebrates Westover's first $1 million Annual
Fund, acknowledging the generosity of alumnae, parents, and friends of
the School. In addition to lists of donors, articles highlight
significant gifts made to the School by the Class of 1956 through its
50th Reunion fundraising efforts to support faculty salaries, as well
as grants from the E.E. Ford Foundation to establish a structured
faculty visitation program, from the Arthur K. Watson Charitable Trust
to replace and refurbish Westover's piano collection, and a grant from
the Worthington Family Foundation to help purchase laptops for faculty
members.
2006 Westover Magazine

Distributed in April 2006. The 2006 Westover Magazine features a
special section focusing on the Westover community's response to
Hurricane Katrina - efforts by students and faculty to offer aid to the
victims of the storm, as well as profiles of more than 20 alumnae whose
lives were affected by the storm. They include a Coast Guard pilot who
helped rescue the storm's victims off rooftops in New Orleans, a Red
Cross administrator who coordinated relief efforts in Louisiana, and a
doctor who delivered several storm victims' babies, as well as profiles
of volunteers who helped provide shelter, aided victims, and cared for
abandoned pets. Other stories profiled Gulf Coast residents who lost
homes or had to evacuate the region for months because of the storm.
The Magazine also features news about Westover's WISE Program winning
an NAIS Leading Edge Award, as well as Class Notes gathered from more
than 70 years of classes.

Fuller Athletic Center Dedication Newsletter
Distributed in November 2001. It featured photographs and remarks celebrating the October 19th, 2001 dedication of the School’s new Fuller Athletic Center.
The Campus Master Plan
Distributed in January 2000. Prepared by Graham Gund Associates in association with the School’s Board of Trustees, the plan outlines a series of proposals to add to and enhance Westover’s buildings and grounds to meet the needs of the School in the 21st century.
The Strategic Plan
Distributed in November 1999. Prepared by the School’s Board of Trustees, the plan identifies the needs of the School over the coming decade.
