Soccer

 

Westover's Soccer program begins each August with a challenging Sports Camp that includes a variety of skills, drills and conditioning. The players learn early about the goal of the Wildcat program. It is the same as with all our premier athletic programs - promote the development of the complete athlete.  The standards are set early and the challenges begin. The players learn about hard work, commitment and dedication. They learn to conduct themselves appropriately in victory as well as defeat. They learn to move out of their comfort zones to compete to the best of their abilities on the field and in the classroom.

The program allows for the development of the novice player as well as accomplished athlete. Team members have earned All New England Honors as well as CISAC All League and Honorable Mention. Players have gone on to play in collegiate programs.

The 2006 team earned its fifth consecutive berth in the CISAC
Tournament and completed the season ranked fourh. The 2007 team has high hopes of playing through to the final round of the CISAC tournament and earning a bid to New Englands.
