Softball

 

Since 1999, Wildcat Softball has been one of the most successful sports programs at Westover.  Since that time, Varsity Softball’s record is 76-31, with five Connecticut Independent School Athletic Conference titles and four Western New England Preparatory School Softball Association tournament appearances, winning the championship in 1999 and 2002.

The players are encouraged to work hard to prepare themselves mentally and physically and always play with passion. Every time they step onto the field, they approach the game with a winning attitude, and the 2006 season should bring continued success to the program.

The 2007 team just missed qualifying for the WNEPSSA tournament despite a 12-5 record that included wins over Class A schools Kent and Taft. The 2008 Wildcats return a New England All Star and the starting catcher for the past three seasons as well as five other starters.
