Meet the Athletic Department
Lizanne (Tiz) Mulligan, Director of Athletics
Tiz attended Kent School, Kent CT. She played basketball and softball serving as captain for both her senior year. She was a founding rower for the girls' crew program and rowed in the first boat for three years. She earned a B.S. in Health, Recreation and Physical Education from Ursinus College. Tiz coached field hockey, basketball and lacrosse for ten years at Kent School. She was a founding member of the first girls' basketball league, WNEPSGBA and earned two league championships. In her final year at Kent, she led the Varsity lacrosse program to a fourth place finish in New England. She coached soccer and basketball in local, travel and Division I programs for twelve years. As well, Tiz founded a lacrosse program for girls in her community and coached for four years.
Ann LeClerc, Assistant Director of Athletics
Ann LeClerc spent her high school years at Lawrence Academy, where she was a three sport athlete, competing in field hockey, ice hockey, and lacrosse. She captained the field hockey team in both her junior and senior seasons and earned All-ISL awards as a junior and senior. After Lawrence, Ann went on to compete at Brown University in Providence, RI. As a four year letter winner on Brown’s Field Hockey Team, Ann received the Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award at the end of her senior season. While attending Brown, Ann spent her summers in Providence, assisting with Brown’s Rooftop Field Hockey Camp and the Brown Evening Field Hockey Camp. Ann graduated from Brown in 2009 with a B.A. in sociology. Ann joins Westover’s Athletic Department as Assistant Athletic Director and coach of Field Hockey and Lacrosse.
Jim DeMeis, ATHLETIC TRAINER
Jim DeMeis, LAT, CSCS, Coordinator of Sports Medicine at Access Rehab Centers, joined Westover School as Head Athletic Trainer in 2002. He graduated from University of Connecticut in 1997, where he served as a trainer for the UCONN Football team as well as the baseball team. For the past eleven years he has served as a trainer for several area high school programs. He played college baseball at Keene State College and served as an assistant pitching coach at Kaynor Technical High School. He coached the Westover Varsity Softball team in 2008.
