Westover traveled to Hopkins this afternoon for their first game of the season. A talented Hopkins team came out strong in the first half, earning 11 penalty corners and several shots. Westover's defense held strong and Rose Bradley did not allow a goal until the second half. In the second half, Hopkins worked hard to put in two goals before Westover was able to answer. Senior Keelin Sweeney executed a beautiful corner, receiving the ball at the top of the circle and firing it into the back of the cage to put Westover back in the game. However, Hopkins answered with a third goal and despite a valiant effort, Westover was not able to come out on top. Final score Westover 1, Hopkins, 3.
