After an exciting weekend of squash, the Westover Wildcats
finished their season on a high note finishing 9th in Class B with Myriam Kelly and Sam Matos both
winning their respective flights.
Myriam Kelly, seeded #3 in flight 1, dominated her opponent
from Suffield [seeded #2] to win the semifinal match, 3-1. Losing the first
game 6-11, Myriam came back firing to clinch the next three games 11-5, 11-5,
11-4. Her determination and patience on court got her to the final where she
faced off against the #1 seeded player from Tabor Academy. Myriam, playing a
very steady match with minimum errors, pushed her opponent to the brink to earn
the win in a nail-biting five game match [(7-11), 11-5, (9-11), 12-10, 11-8)]
to gain the New England Championship title in flight 1.

from Williston in the semifinal and secured an easy 3-0 victory to proceed to
the final. Sam playing her last match of her high school career, faced off against
an equally matched opponent from Tabor Academy [seeded #2] to clinch the flight
2 Championship title in four closely contested games [(8-11), 12-10, 13-11,

semifinal match against her opponent from Tabor Academy [seeded #2] but was unable
