Varsity Lacrosse Team 2018
Westover lacrosse continues to build the program as it looks to attract players with substantial playing experience. The program teaches the importance of good sportsmanship, healthful lifestyle choices and teamwork. Members of the team set goals as a group as well as individually for each game as well as the season. The athletes support each other in practices and games and challenge each other to improve every day. Players look to further their playing experience and join Westover alums already playing at the collegiate level.
Westover Lacrosse boasted the school's first Academic All American in 2008. USLacrosse named the Wildcat midfielder based on her Lacrosse accomplishments; four-year starter and captain, two-time New England All Star, over 100 points for her final two seasons and her academic prowess. In 2013, Westover had a Brine All-American and WNE All-Star and in 2015, another Wildcat attacker reached her 100th career goal. The Wildcats won the CISAC title in 2015.
The 2017 team will work to improve last year's record with the addition of new team members and dedicated veterans. The team is coached by new Head Coach, Eric Mathieu and assistant coach Kendra Galusha, and led by seniors Allie Hawley, Joana Pacheco, and Becca Lundie.
