Glimpse of the Week

Dear Parents,

The Wildcat winter sports season kicked off last weekend with our 4th annual Tip Off Classic for varsity basketball and matches for varsity and junior varsity squash teams. I hope to see you on campus this season as we cheer on our student-athletes.

We hosted our final admissions information session last weekend as well. We have met many wonderful students and families who are eager to join our Westover community.

I hope to see you and your families at our annual Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols on December 15th and 16th. If you are unable to attend, please watch our Livestream channel to enjoy this wonderful Westover tradition.

Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols Reservations on Parent Portal

A Westover School Holiday tradition, The Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, December 15th, at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 16th at 3:30 p.m., followed by refreshments and entertainment in Red Hall.

Reservations  can be made on the Parent Portal. If you cannot attend in person, we will be broadcasting the sessions via our Livestream.

The Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols is a cherished Westover tradition. At the heart of the service is nine lessons read by students, each followed by the lighting of a candle and a carol sung by the Glee Club, a small ensemble, or the entire congregation. At the end of the service, all sing Silent Night in a Chapel lit only by candles. Following the service is a festive reception for all in Red Hall, with more songs and a short performance by the Dance Ensemble, a cappella singing groups and Gospel Choir.
