Glimpse of the Week

We hope you endured winter's first blast this past week! Thank you to everyone who attended the opening reception and artist talk by Mohamad Hafez last Friday night. Mohamad's exhibit, "Homeland InSecurity", is currently open in the Schumacher Gallery and we encourage you to visit and explore this fascinating collection of work.

We are honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. this week with several events on campus. We will welcome Demar Lewis IV as the annual MLK Chapel talk speaker. Demar is a PhD student in the Departments of Sociology and African American Studies at Yale University. Follow our #IHaveADream campaign on Facebook and Instagram to discover the Westover community's dreams for the future.

Click here to view the Livestream of the varsity basketball team's contest against Kent School on Wednesday. Both varsity and junior varsity put in great efforts on Wednesday! Both JV basketball and JV squash have home contests this weekend and I hope to see you on campus to cheer on our fantastic student athletes!

From the Financial Aid Office: Financial Aid Deadline, Feb. 1

Greetings from the Westover School Financial Aid Office:

This is an important reminder that Schools and Student Services (SSS) opened in October for families planning to apply for financial aid in 2019-2020. The deadline for application submission is set for February 1, 2019. The SSS code for Westover School is 8152.

We understand the sacrifice and commitment made by families and guardians, in order to make an independent school education possible, and we want to assure you that we do everything possible to support your individual needs. Your commitment to completing the application process in a timely (or early) manner is appreciated. We are dedicated to partnering with you to provide awards when need is demonstrated in order to make an education at Westover School more affordable.

Please be aware there are new tax regulations, laws and schedules, based on the changes made by the federal government. It is important you understand them fully. For some direction, please refer to the resources provided on SSS or discuss these changes with your personal tax advisor.

If you need more detailed information on the application process you can visit our website. Of course, I am more than happy to meet with you in person or via email or phone at or at 203.577.4503.
