Glimpse of the Week


As we embrace the long weekend this weekend, I want to wish everyone a restful and relaxing break. You have all earned it!

The squash team will travel to Trinity College this weekend for the U.S. High School Team Squash National Tournament. Go Wildcats! Our winter musical, "The Drowsy Chaperone" will grace our stage February 15-16. And I hope you have had a moment to visit the Schumacher Gallery to see Mohamad Hafez's exhibit "Homeland InSecurity."

On Wednesday, January 23, the cast of "The Drowsy Chaperone" had the opportunity to do a Musical Theatre Workshop with Broadway singer/actor Jason Forbach. The session was absolutely wonderful.

"The Drowsy Chaperone," a Musical within a Comedy will be performed at the LBD Performing Arts Center on Friday and Saturday, February 15 and 16 at 7 pm. Please call 203-577-4536 for reservations.

From the Financial Aid Office: Financial Aid Deadline, Feb. 1


Greetings from the Westover School Financial Aid Office:

This is an important reminder that Schools and Student Services (SSS) opened in October for families planning to apply for financial aid in 2019-2020. The deadline for application submission is set for February 1, 2019. The SSS code for Westover School is 8152.

We understand the sacrifice and commitment made by families and guardians, in order to make an independent school education possible, and we want to assure you that we do everything possible to support your individual needs. Your commitment to completing the application process in a timely (or early) manner is appreciated. We are dedicated to partnering with you to provide awards when need is demonstrated in order to make an education at Westover School more affordable.

Please be aware there are new tax regulations, laws and schedules, based on the changes made by the federal government. It is important you understand them fully. For some direction, please refer to the resources provided on SSS or discuss these changes with your personal tax advisor.

Save the Date: Graduation, Saturday, June 1st


Westover will celebrate the class of 2019 on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Our Graduation Chapel Service begins at 10:00 a.m. Please note that each graduate receives two (2) Chapel tickets. The Graduation ceremony will take place at 11:00 am on Westover's campus. Graduates are welcome to invite family and friends to our Graduation ceremony. Our annual prize day ceremony, the Orchard Ceremony, will take place on Friday, May 31.
