Athletics

Westover’s Athletic Program provides girls with an experience focused on inspiring each student to excel at every level of competition and involvement.
The depth and breadth of our program provides our students the opportunity to learn at their appropriate competitive and developmental level, learn leadership and goal-setting skills, develop creative thinking, take risks and gain self-confidence.
Experienced and advanced athletes will receive the coaching necessary for personal and team growth creating a foundation and passion to compete at the next level The novice athlete will be inspired to develop into the competitive athlete she would like to become.

Wildcat of the Week

The Wildcats of the Week for May 15, 2017 are the Westover Rowing Team. The team officially competed in three races this spring. They have become a completely autonomous program this year. The team was victorious in their contest vs. Forman and Taft's novices. Congratulations to first-year competitors who gained valuable race experience, Sarah P. ’20 (spare), Gabby Y. ’19 (coxswain), Maddie-Claire N. ‘19, Jess G. ‘19, Chloe K. ’17 and Tegan M. ’19. Special recognition to Alex K. ’17 (stroke) who completes her third year with the Varsity Rowing program and the only remaining member of the Gold Medal winners from the 2015 Lower Boat Regatta.
