  • What support will I receive as an international student attending Westover? 

    International students at Westover are supported by the Global Programs Office, part of the Rasin Center for Global Justice, which is dedicated to celebrating and empowering diverse student identities and cultures and fostering cross-cultural collaboration. This space ensures you have the resources and community to thrive academically and socially. In addition to the Global Programs Office, every new student is connected to a current student, their "big sibling," to answer many of the questions they may have and help your student prepare for their first year at Westover.
  • What percentage of students at Westover identify as international?

  • How do I apply for admission to Westover?

    Prospective applicants are welcome to apply for admission consideration to Westover by submitting an application through the Standard Application Online (SAO).
  • What documents are required to apply to Westover?

    • Application Form (SAO)
    • Application Fee ($100 for international applicants)
    • Essays
    • Parent Questionnaire
    • Current and Prior Year Transcripts
    • Letters of Recommendation (sent via SAO or emailed directly to the admissions office) from: 
    • Current English Teacher
    • Current Math Teacher
    • Current Principal or Guidance Counselor
    • English Proficiency exam results (TOEFL and Duolingo)*

    *At the discretion of the Admission Committee, the language proficiency testing requirement may be waived if a student has attended school for a minimum of three consecutive years at an institution where the primary language of instruction is English. Applicants requesting this waiver must provide official documentation verifying the language of instruction at their current or previous school(s).

    The Admission Committee reserves the right to request additional evidence of English proficiency if deemed necessary.

    Standardized testing is optional. A graded academic writing sample is required if you choose not to submit your standardized test scores. 
  • Do you offer financial aid to international applicants?

    Westover is proud to offer need-based financial aid to those students with a demonstrated financial need on a limited basis. Families can apply for Financial Aid using the Clarity Application. We then use this application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information families provide, including assets, income, expenses, and debts.
