Financial Aid

Westover is committed to enrolling a talented and diverse student body representing a broad range of backgrounds- racial, ethnic, geographic, and socioeconomic. The Westover School Financial Aid assessment process ensures that available funds are best supporting the school’s objectives and mission. Westover is proud to offer need-based financial aid to those students with a demonstrated financial need. This past year, 45% of our families received need-based aid with over $4.5 million dollars awarded.

Financial Aid Process

  • Apply for Financial Aid here!
  • The deadline for completing the financial aid application including relevant supplemental documents is:
    • December 15, 2023 for RETURNING families
    • January 15, 2024 for PROSPECTIVE new families.
  • Westover School is proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.
  • To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. The application is completed and submitted once the $60 fee has been paid.
  • If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at [email protected] or 206-210-3752.

Financial Aid Determination

  • Once a family submits a financial application through Clarity, Westover partners with Mission Enrollment to provide a third-party assessment and estimate of how much a family can contribute to the cost of a Westover School education. This figure and estimate provide a basis for determining financial needs.
  • Westover School Financial Aid Committee receives a Financial Assessment from Clarity that has been reviewed by Mission Enrollment. This report, along with a family’s tax returns and other pertinent documents, are utilized to calculate a financial aid award.
  • In determining a financial aid award the Financial Aid Committee will look at each application on an individual and case-by-case basis taking into account extenuating circumstances.
