Head of School Book Talk | The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer
Join us for a special Westover Head of School Book Talk Panel on The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer on Tuesday, March 4 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Science Teacher Heather Nuzzo ’91 and Westover students will share reflections on their experiences with environmental stewardship, connecting their work to Kimmerer’s vision of gratitude, reciprocity, and community. Kimmerer illustrates how the natural world models interconnectedness, demonstrating how the serviceberry nourishes and sustains its broader ecosystem. As she writes, “Serviceberries show us another model, one based upon reciprocity, where wealth comes from the quality of your relationships, not from the illusion of self-sufficiency.” A perfect read for these winter months—pick up a copy now from your favorite independent bookstore or stop outside the Head of School’s Office to grab one today.
