Choice and Meaning: Conversations on Life’s Final Chapter
Mary Clark Price ’81 Registered Nurse with Hospice of Southern Maine
What does it mean to approach the later chapters of life with a sense of grace?
In this thoughtful and deeply human conversation, we explore the complexities and possibilities surrounding end-of-life experiences from aging with vitality and purpose to navigating decisions about hospice, comfort care, and personal choice in dying. Grounded in compassion and informed perspective, this session invites an open dialogue about how we honor life at every stage.
Together, we will reflect on how to celebrate longevity while also preparing - emotionally, practically, and ethically - for what lies ahead. With space for both personal reflection and shared insight, this discussion encourages a more empowered, informed, and meaningful approach to one of life’s most universal transitions.
For women who seek not only to live fully, but to shape the final chapter with intention, clarity, and care.

Poetry Circle: Sense, Memory, and Connection
Kristin Hartley ’76, Former English Teacher
“Poetry Circle” is an opportunity to continue a Westover tradition of immersion in poetry. Join Kristin Hartley ’76 for a conversation about poetry (and circles), read and respond to poetry– and even compose poetry. No experience in writing necessary: just bring an open mind and heart. Carl Sandburg said that poetry is “an opening and closing of a door, leaving those who look through to guess about what is seen in a moment”. We will be looking at the rich expanse of those small moments.
Expect beauty, insight, and perhaps a line or two that stays with you long after brunch.
Stewards of the Mission: How Westover Alums are Represented
Westover’s strength has always rested in the hands of women who step forward to serve.
Join current members of the Alum Association Board of Governors for an illuminating conversation about what it means to lead and volunteer at Westover today. Beyond meetings and minutes, board service is about engagement, connection, and stewardship, and ensuring that Westover continues to thrive for generations to come.
Whether you are curious about serving, passionate about mentoring, or considering how you might deepen your own engagement, this session offers a transparent look at leadership in action.
Westover has always been powered by women who think boldly and give generously of their time and talent.
