Westover vs. Canterbury

Tough Loss to Canterbury in Final Home Game

In their last home game of the season, the team battled hard but came up short against Canterbury. However, the scoreboard didn’t reflect the team’s effort and competitiveness on the floor. Aniella led the charge with a strong all-around performance, finishing with 12 points and 9 rebounds, dominating the glass and providing a consistent presence inside. Sophie added 4 assists and 2 rebounds, helping facilitate the offense and keep the ball moving throughout the game. Eva chipped in with 4 rebounds and an assist, doing the little things that make a difference. The fabulous freshman, Akemi, controlled the tempo, confidently bringing the ball down the court, and managing the offense like a seasoned veteran. The team created quality shooting opportunities all game long — the looks were there — but it was just one of those nights where the ball wouldn’t fall. The home team “couldn’t throw a ball into the ocean” it seemed. But the Cats refused to quit, scoring in a rapid fire pace to end the game, showing their true character. Defensively, Georgia stepped up with key stops, showing grit and determination, keeping the Cats within reach. Although the result wasn’t what they hoped for, this group showed resilience, teamwork, and heart in front of their home crowd. Every player contributed, and the effort was there from start to finish.
