What's Up, Westover! | Student Life Podcast Returns

By Amara G. ’28, The Wick Staff Writer
When the student podcast What's Up, Westover! returned earlier this fall with fresh voices and familiar laughter, it reflected what makes our school thrive: connectivity. The podcast, which is supported by the Rasin Center for Global Justice, continues to amplify international perspectives, celebrating the diversity that shapes everyday life at Westover.
In the podcast's first episodes, the hosts created a space that felt both real and welcoming. Through stories, advice and humor, Westover students explore what it means to find belonging in a new global community. From tips on settling into campus life to reflections on cultural celebrations, each voice offered something distinct yet deeply intertwined. While our experiences differ, our desire for understanding unites us.

The Rasin Center's support echoes the podcast's purpose: to give students a platform where culture meets curiosity, and where empathy grows through conversation. It's a reminder that global justice begins not in distant places, but right here, in how we listen to one another.

What's Up, Westover! reminds us that a community isn't built overnight or bound by geography. Community grows through shared laughter, open dialogue, and the courage to keep showing up for one another. Because when students speak to each other-across accents, countries and stories-we don't just learn about each other, we learn how to belong together.
