Westover vs. Wooster

The Wildcats successfully defended their home court on Saturday with a decisive 43-27 win over Wooster. The Cats led from start to finish thanks to an all-around strong performance on both ends of the court. 
Aniella led the charge with an outstanding game, pouring in 23 points while grabbing 9 rebounds, dishing 2 assists, and wreaking havoc defensively with 4 steals and a block. Sophie logged in her usual rock-solid performance with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals, keeping the offense flowing and the pressure squarely on the Generals. The Cats withstood a second half run that cut their lead to 34-25, by ending the game strong with a 9-2 run to close out the game. 
Emilia gave the Wooster offense nightmares, nabbing 6 steals to go with 5 rebounds, an assist, and 2 points, setting the tone with her relentless energy. Terese was a factor on both ends, finishing with 4 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 steals. Akemi controlled the glass with 6 rebounds, plus an assist and 2 steals, while Eva added 4 rebounds. Emma chipped in defensively with 2 steals and a rebound, and Nadia, Antionia, and Coryn all contributed key rebounds that helped keep the Cats in control of the game. Another total team effort for the home team highlighting their steady improvement over the season, proving that they are becoming a squad to be reckoned with.
