Home, Statement, Win

An exciting home win for the Cats who staged a late game frantic comeback for an impressive “statement” win. Aniella absolutely dominated the game with an epic performance—26 points, 16 rebounds, 3 steals, and a block—setting the tone on both ends and willing the team forward on every possession.
Akemi and Sophie chipped in 8 points each, while Sophie owned the glass again with 12 rebounds, plus a steal and a block. Eva battled for 10 rebounds, giving us extra chances when it mattered most. Defensively, it was chaos—in the best way possible—Akemi swiped 5 steals, and Emilia was everywhere with 7 steals and 3 rebounds, completely disrupting the flow of the game.
Terese brought the all-around effort with 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and a block, making winning plays all over the court. Georgia added 2 points to her trademark shutdown defense.
The turning point in the game came with a little over 5 minutes left in the game. With the Cats trailing 32-28, great hustle by Sophie and Georgia caused a crucial Miss Hall’s turnover that led to Eva finishing at the hoop, bringing the home crowd to its feet. The momentum sparked the Cats during their 18-1 run to seal a come from behind 46-33 victory.
