Center for Academic Support

Westover acknowledges that a high school student’s learning process involves twists and turns. Our Learning Center exists to assist our students in navigating these challenges in a supportive, skill-building process.

In the Learning Center, all students can access assistance with time management, organization, and learning strategies. Students who have documented learning needs can receive individualized learning profiles and access standardized testing accommodations. The Learning Support team arranges conferencing and supported study halls, assesses candidates for admission, and advises current and prospective families.

The Learning Center provides resources to faculty as well, including working with teachers to help ensure that all students’ learning needs are supported in the classroom. While some students are assigned to work in the Learning Center by the Academic Office or advisors, others choose to attend sessions with the Learning Specialist or Academic Support Staff as needed.
